Cyfle Newydd Day Services

The Day Services via Powys County Council provides support to Adults with Learning disabilities. The area of the building that they use was named Cyfle Newydd (New Opportunities) by the service users, staff and management.

A dedicated team provides supported work experience placements, educational and vocational activities Monday to Friday 9-4pm

Crossroads Care Group

The Elderly provision is supplied by Crossroads Care Group – They offer various support packages via dedicated staff to ensure their needs are met.

Dial a Ride

Within the Crossroads Day Centre local transportation services are available at reasonable rates via Dial a Ride, which enables the elderly and disabled access to reliable and reduced travel.

MIND

Upstairs the MIND - Bro Ddyfi Group (Mental Health & Well Being) is located and they meet weekly on a Weds afternoon 1.30 – 3.30.

The group is hoping to expand in the future.

Osteopathic Clinician

Also located upstairs (we have a lift!) is an osteopathic clinician who is able to provide treatment for back and limb injuries.

Meeting Room

We have a multipurpose/meeting room called The Warren Room on the ground floor which is regularly used during the day and evenings.

The room can be booked at reasonable rates by contacting the manager.

CAMAD

CAMAD( Community Action Machynlleth and District) provides voluntary services and are located in the Log Cabin style building in the grounds of the centre. They always welcome new volunteers to build on the services they can offer. CAMAD also offer subsidised travel schemes for residents in the Dyfi Valley who have impaired mobility and no available transport. They also run a successful weekly foot club on Thursday morning in the Day room.

Bro Ddyfi Advice Centre

Bro Ddyfi Advice Centre also known as Advice Mid Wales is also located on the ground floor and offers free help and impartial information which is completely confidential. They deal with problems and issues such as debt, welfare benefits, housing, employment, consumer issues, Relationships, Pensions.
